History of High Tide

The first High Tide event took place in June 2021, after 15 long months of boring Covid life and the announcement that Burning Man would be cancelled for the second year in a row. Conveniently, our friends had just created a psychedelic desert getaway -- complete with a marooned boat that inspired the event's name. Thus, we braved Death Valley in late June for a long weekend of dancing, sharing, hugging, and getting weird in the desert. (We since settled on May as the perfect season.) Most of our High Tide community joins us from Los Angeles, but we have had guests join us from Seattle, Boston, San Francisco, Little Rock, Memphis, Denver, New York, Canada, and even France! If you know someone who belongs in the desert with us, we'd love for you to introduce us to future members of our High Tide family.

This is a 21-and-over event. The desert is the perfect place to get weird, but please be mindful of your consumption. We encourage you to party in a way that enhances engagement and connection. All participants are responsible for any harm or injury that may result from activities engaged in at High Tide / Cherry Clouds Oasis.
