High Tide 6:
Dark Sky
May 14-17, 2026

The sixth annual High Tide weekend will take place from May 14-May 17, 2026 during the new moon. Death Valley's moonless nights are world renowned for star gazing, inspiring our very first theme, "Dark Sky."

Start planning now for the best weekend of the year!

The fee is $150 per person, (Venmo @HighTideCamp)

We will gather at Cherry Clouds Oasis on the East edge of Death Valley. Location is one hour west of Las Vegas. GPS coordinates are:
35°57'28.2"N 115°55'08.7"W
35.957829, -115.919074
For those flying in, Las Vegas is just over an hour away. Rent a car, pick up some groceries, and head on over. From touchdown to get-down is just a couple of hours!

This is the desert! Plan for dry, hot, cold, and windy weather, though conditions in May are pretty perfect. Bring at least 5 gallons of water per person, ice, and warm clothes for the night.

If tent camping, bring lag bolts or strong stakes. Usually the weather cooperates, but 2025 hit us with strong wind!

High Tide is our annual Burn-inspired event in Death Valley. Like Burning Man, we engage in radical self-reliance, leave-no-trace environmentalism, and as much creativity as you like!
Unlike the Burn, there are some structures permanently in place, including a marooned boat, camping kitchen, shower, dancefloor, and a pink porto.

This event is by invitation only. Please ask the organizers before inviting others.

This year we're looking forward to more interactivity than ever! The founder of Black Rock Observatory will join us with world-class telescopes and musicians will once again pack the dance floor. We encourage participants to host workshops, share talents, build art, offer bodywork, share a game, etc!

Bring a tent, van, camper, or RV! If you need help with logistics, please ask! There are a couple of glamping options available for rent; folks flying in and traveling light have glamping priority.

As always, there will be a sign-up for mealshare. Bring your own labeled cup/dishes/cutlery to reduce waste and clean-up efforts.
